Terms and Conditions

1. Account Registration & Security

Welcome to NaijaDomains.com ("Company", "we", "our", "us"). By opening an account or using our services, you agree to comply with all terms stated herein.

  1. Eligibility: You must be at least 18 years of age or have legal authority to enter into binding agreements under the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
  2. Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide true, accurate, and complete contact details (Full Name, Valid Email Address, Mobile Phone Number, and Physical Address). Accounts with deliberate fake data will be suspended.
  3. Account Security: You are strictly responsible for maintaining account confidentiality and all activities conducted under your user profile.

2. Domain Name Registration & Management

NaijaDomains acts as a domain registrar and reseller partner for generic Top-Level Domains (gTLDs) and Country-Code Top-Level Domains (ccTLDs).

  • Registry Authority: Registrations are governed by rules set by ICANN and relevant domain registries, including the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA) for .ng domains.
  • WHOIS Requirements: Valid owner information must be published to WHOIS directories as mandated by registry policies.
  • Domain Renewals: Domain names must be renewed prior to their exact expiration timestamp. NaijaDomains is not liable for lost domains due to late payment or failure to keep notification emails updated.

3. Fraudulent Registrations & Impersonation

ZERO TOLERANCE FRAUD POLICY

Registering domain names intended for phishing, financial scams, or mimicking banking, fintech, or investment brands will lead to immediate cancellation with NO REFUND.

To protect consumers and financial ecosystems, NaijaDomains enforces automated security scans and manual verification checks:

  • Prohibited Domain Names: Domain registrations that copy, typo-squat, or spoof financial institutions (e.g., banks, loan apps, crypto platforms) without explicit legal authorization are strictly forbidden.
  • Immediate Takedowns: Any domain identified by automated threat intelligence, central registries, or law enforcement as a phishing kit or scam host will be locked and terminated instantly.
  • Law Enforcement Disclosure: Fraudulent registrations will be referred directly to Nigerian law enforcement agencies (including the EFCC and NPF Cybercrime Unit).

4. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

You agree not to deploy or permit web services for any of the following activities:

  • Hosting malware, ransomware, spyware, or malicious code scripts.
  • Sending unsolicited bulk email messages (SPAM) or hosting scam mailing tools.
  • Hosting explicit adult content, illegal gambling platforms, or hate speech.
  • Executing denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks or port scans against external servers.

5. Payments, Billing & Refunds

All fees are rendered in Nigerian Naira (NGN) or US Dollars (USD) depending on checkout preferences.

  • Domain Sales are Final: Domain registration and renewal fees paid to third-party registries (including NiRA and ICANN registries) are completely non-refundable once processed.
  • No Refund for Policy Violations Strict: If your domain or hosting account is suspended due to phishing, bank impersonation, financial scams, or abuse of these Terms, all money paid is forfeited entirely.
  • Hosting Refund Terms: Shared Web Hosting plans come with a 14-day money-back window for compliant accounts, excluding domain registration fees and payment gateway transaction charges.

6. Backups & Service Availability

While NaijaDomains maintains hardware redundancy and automated backup scripts for infrastructure disaster recovery, customers are solely responsible for keeping offline backups of all web files, databases, and mail accounts.

7. Limitation of Liability

Under no circumstances shall NaijaDomains.com, its directors, or affiliates be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from domain expiration, loss of revenue, server downtime, or cyber security breaches on client websites.

8. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (including the Cybercrimes Act and Nigeria Data Protection Regulation). Any irreconcilable dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration in Nigeria.
